Ray Alexandor is back from a visit withhis sister in Northville. Mrs. S. R. Nelson and son Raleigh, ,-eturned to Chicago last Friday. C. M. Kendall, of Chicago, was in the city last Tussday on business. Prof. T. M. Hamilton returned to his tome in Bucyrus, Ohio, last Friday. Miss Nina Doty visited friends in Livingston county last week. Mrs. W. L. Douglass returned last Friday from a visit at Mason, Mich. A. W. Hamilton, of Chicago, spent last Monday and ïuesday in the city. Mrs. Lew H. Clement returned last baturday from her visit in Colon, Mich. James L. Gilbert, depuly oil inspector of Chelsea, was in the city last r riaay. Mr. and Mrs. Roy T. McClure returnd fi-om their Chicago vleit last Friday. W.J. Booth returned last Friday from & two week's visit with Detroit friends. Miss Lillie M. Volland has accepted a .osition in the High School at Howell. W. W. Watts has resigned lüs position as assistant manager of the opera house. Miss Florence Storrett returned Monilay from a visit with relatives in Deatur. Mrs. J. M. Smoots and son Ernost bave returned from a visit with Detroit friends. Mrs. O. L. Matthews, of Lansing, is visiting her parents Mr. and Mrs. T. D. Stimson. Mrs. G. T. Jenkins, of Plint, was the aest last week of her sister, Mrs. B. F. Watts. Miss Luella Svrift gave a very pleasant birthday party last Friday evening from 7 to 10. Miss Nellie Ames gave a luneheon to a few of her lady friends last Wednesday evening. Mrs. May Kyer returned last Friday .'rom Detroit, where she has been the -uest of friends. Miss Annie Jones, of Detroit, is spending a few days with Mrs. Geo. Weeks, of the north side. Henry Merithew, ex-prosecuting atty. of Oscoda county, visited his parents in the city last week. Martin Schclkle, of the Housfreund and Post, was in Cleveland last week visiting his family. Mrs. J. J. Read, of Chicago, visited friends and relativos in the city during the past two weeks. Paul Green wood, of Hamilton, O. , is ihe guest of his brother K. S. G reendood for a few days. Miss Abbie A. Pond returned Monday from her visir, with friends in Mt. Clemens and Detroit. Dr. D. A. MacLachlan and daughter Winifrcd, visited the doctor"s parents in Toronto last week.
