The Lawyer's Threat
The book peddler had called at the lawyer's office to sell him a book and the lawyer very peremptorily didn't want any book. The peddler insisted and the lawyer continued to decline. At last the lawyr rose in wrath. "Now, look here," he said emphatically, 'Tve told you I don't want your book, and I mea.nt what I said. Furthermore, my ad fice to you is to get out of this promptly, or 111 throw you out" The paddier was about to make a remark. "And," interruoted the lawyer, '-let me also say íf you hesita te, I shall charge you for that advice, and levy on your books to satisfy judgmeut. Now git," and the suppressed peddlar got.
