Chicago, Jan. 29.- Hearing of evidence in the case of Eüg-ene V. Debs and others charg-ed with forming a conspiracy to obstruet the United States mails was begun ia Judge Grosscups court this morning. The proceedings of the Railway Union convention, at which it was decided to boycott the Pullman I'alace Car company, were gone into very thoroughly by one witness placed on the stand to testify for the prosecution, to whose testimony the whole morning was given. The court room was pretty well filled during the session, several ladies being among the spectators.
