New York, June 18. - Tammany hall presented a scène of aetlvlty today, the bravea ha ving gathpred from all parts of the city to cliKcuss the probable results df the special meeting held this Ing. This extraordinary activity is part of an attempt on the part of the organization to recover the prestige ivhlch it lost at the last election, when the Pnrkhurst reform wave carried everything before it. It is proposed to put into effect the plan of reorganizatlon proposed by ex-Mayor Grant - the appointment of 100 prominent democrats, Tammany men, democrats of no organization, and even state democracy men. This commlttee will supervise the work of reorganization under a plan u-hieh contemplaras "riddance of the -ine-man power." It Is proposed to form an organiza tion so liberal in lts character that there will be no excuse left for the maintenance of any other democratie organlzation in the city. It Is whlspered, however, by those In a posltion to know that the reorganizaron écheme Is only a bluff to influence public sentiment and that Dick Croker will return from England in the fall and take the reins as of yore.
