A Summer Normal

County School Commlssioner Cayanauííh is busy sending out announcetnents of the summer normal school whieh will begin Monday, July 8, and will continue for four weeks. Mr. ('avanaugh will be assisted by Prof. A. D. Chisholm, pr-incipal of Newberry City schools, and Fred L. Keeler, '93 lit. who will give instruction in his specialies, physics, chemistry and mathematics. These will be assisted by a full corps of competent Instructora. All the common branches and all the higher branches will oe taught. Prof. A. D. Chisholm, was formerly principal of Salem schools, now county commissionor of schools of Luce county. Regalar courses for securing third' grade, second grade, first grade and state ! titïcates, will be given. There will be special courses in kindergarten, elocucution, phVsical culture, pedagogy, penmanship, drawing and modeling. This is a first-class opportunity for teachers to review, and prepare for a higher grade certifícate. No teacher should teaeh forever on a third grade, and all gooi teachers will hail with joy the new law wíiich prevenís a teacher from holding more than tbree tbird gi'ade certifícate;.
