The regents met in segsiOD Tiiesday p.m. Prof. W. K. Clement, of the University, of Idaho, is in the city th:s week. The U. of M. Daily announces that it will be bigger and better than ever next year. There are 691 seniora in all the departments who will receive their diplomas this morning. The bust of Pres. Angelí, oresented by the senior lit classis a mjót excellent likeness of the orignal. Miss Marian Parker a senior this year, will be the iirst lady to gradúate in the engineering department. The second annual 9enior promenade Monday night was a great success. It is a novel feature and has very likely come to stay. University Hall was packed as usual Sunday night to hear Pres. Atljfell's baccalaureate address. It was one of more than usual merit. Several membersof the lit. class of 7.1 are here having a reunión. Thi-i is ?rof. Knowlton's class and hisdaughter Marguerite is the class baby. The various class day exercises oí the raduating classes passed of this week without a hitch of any kind, and were enjoyed by all who could attend. The address of Miss Richards, of the ■senior lit class, in presenting the bust of res. Angelí to the University was a very happy one, and was highly onoyed by all who heard it. To remove or not to remove the homoeopathic department to Detroit is a snare in the flesh to the board of regents. They wül probably have the suDreme court settle the matter. The senior reception Tuesday even. ing - and Wednesday morning, was, if any different, more elabórate than any of its predecessors. It is reported that the Pontiac High School will establish a seholarship for the U. of M. to-be given sume gradúate of that high school. The idea of high school scholarships for the University seems to be taking root. It is a good one. Mr. M. W. Blake has on exhibition at his store in the Washington Block an elegant class pieture whioh he has framed of the faculty and this year's graduates of the dental department. Mr. Blake has done the boys a first-class job as he does for all his eustome.rs. Miss Anna B. Butler, a stadent in the law department, appeared before the regents Tuesday and petitioned thatshe ranted a diploma. She had passed off all the work but had not boon a student of the rjaivereily quite i year as the rule of the regents requives, she having been detaiued at homo last fall for a few rnonths by illness.
