The town of Audeareid, Pa., is threatened with destruction by the caving in of mines. The surface dropped several inches in one day and large fissures are opened in the earth, evtending through the town. The people have deserted their homes. The houses of Supt. lioberts, John Mc(ee and Subkin, and William Harber have been entirely destroyed. The surface has dropped six inehes and a total collapse is expected at any time. The wildest excitement prevails.
