liie secón d international eonveut n of fue Epworth League was held at Chattanooga, Tenn. , and was a inonter religious demonstration. The jonference formallj' opened in the big tent, which had been dedicated for the pnrpose, and whieh liad a seating sapacity of 10,000; chai rovisions for 1,000; reserven! seats for '.0 guests and seats for 100 representativos of the press. The hugo tent was erowded at tha opening service. Bishop Galloway delivered the conference sermón. A feature oever befure seen in a meeting- of this size was the adinini.stratiou of the Lords supper to fully 10,000 people. l'ndoubtedly the most inspiring as well as uuirjue feature of the entire convention was a sunrise prayer service on the top of historie Lookout :nountain. About 2,300 enthusiastic young people started for this service it 2 ocloek in the morningandas they moved up the side of the mountain inging and shouting every soul feit the inspirat-ion of the occasion. Great elouds of mist hung over the city and the valley as the pilgrims, representing almost every state of the union, and Canada, began their devotions. Rev. George R. Stuart, the celebrated evangelist who assists Sam Jones led the meeting. As he stood and talked of the love of God and of the peace of the gospel of Jesus Christ, every mind ran back to that noted meeting of nearly 1,1)00 ago. The sermón on the mount was in theheartsof all present. In a little time there was a change. The great clouds of mist rolled back, and the gray is turning into the rosy tints of the mom. The worshipers stand as if lost in devotion and adoration. Their hearts are brought close to the God of nature, who is so beautifuily and majestically revealing his power to them. They stand silent, and then as there peeps over the distunt horizon the first beams of the great king of day, they all. as if moved by a common spirit, break forth with the meter ilo.xology. "I'raise God, from Whom All Blessings Flow." They could stand it no longer. Their pent up feelings became exuberant and old shouts wei-e giveu and hand shaking-B were exchanged on all sides. it was a scène never to be forgotten. PJvery meeting of the convention was crowded through the entire session and it estimated that fully 15,000 people were in attendanee.
