The Michigan Central railroad had a serions freight wreek at Dexter last Satufday night. A long freight from Chelsea broko in two and separated just west of Dexter. When the first section stopped at Dextor, the rear portion, due to the down grade, smashed into the first part and badly wrecked thiiteen oars. The loss will amount to at least $10,000. The Campbell family, and there is a number of them in this county, met at the home of Mrs. Wm. Lambie. at Ypsilanti, last Saturday night to celébrate the 70th birthday of M rs. Lambie. She is the oldest sister of the Campbell brothers and came to this country from Scotland over 50 years ago. A bountiful re past. was serve-d and a very enjoyable time was had. Some months ago a dental student by the name of Kepsinger had several huiidred dollars worth of iustrumeuts stolen. Later, guspicion seemed to point towards another dental student by the name of Burknall. The former swore out a seach warrant and had Buoknall's room -seaehed but nothing was found.
