During' the finish of an exeiting race the bridge g-ave way and the mase of huraanity was precipitated into the water 40 feei belovv. Thirtysight persons were seriously injurod, and ïuuny of them u-ill die. j'hysicians from Elkhart and other neighboring cities were telephoned for. Luckily tlie water was but five feet deep or many would have undoubtedly been drowned.
