A second, who moves with long strides when his feet are on terra firma, simply transíales this motion to meet the new environment when he goes out for a ride. A third, being a brisk, energetic little person, always walking rapidly, keeps his legs going at a relativa speed on his safety and couldn't stroll along if he trled.
