Congresman James O.Donnell, of Jackson, has deelared his intention to become a candidate for the Republican nomination-for governor of Michigan in 1896. In conversation with a representativo of the Reforter Wednesday he said: "While I have not as yet entered upon an active campaign, nay name is before the party for its consideraron, and when 'the time comes for active work my' friends will be at the front. Everything in Michigan looks Republican, of course, but the plurality will undoubtedly depend on what position is fïnally taken in reference to silver.
