The Italian steamers Ortigia and Maria I', collided oíf Isla Delpinto at the entrance of the (Juli of Oeneva. The latter sank and 148 people were drowned. All the boats of the Ortegia were lowered and the creivs rescued all they could. Among the saved is a child 8 years okl, who is the only survivor of a faraily of seven.
