A GRAND TRIÜMPH. Bafiled Many Times but Success Comes at Last. (Prom the Qrand Rapids Press.) The following incident would be liard to believe if it had not occurred riglit here in Grand Rupids, and investigatiou by our representative has placed it beyoud (be reách of doubt. These are the faets iu detail : Mr. J. II. White of No. 86 Haiflcy Place, has been an instructor in penmanship in different business colleges for the past fourteun ycars. He says : "LastOctober I was suddenly taken ill. I cu a physician, who said the pain was frora ' gravel ' stones ; gradually grew worse ; tlie pain was in my back and side. My back gwelled up in a great ridge, and I flnally grew so bad tliat I was taken to bed, as helpless as a child. I poaaed blood, and when the pain was at its worst I was like one crazy. The doctor tojected morphiue to give me relief, but further than that he said he was powerless, and nothing would do me any good but a surgical operation. I believe my flesh was literally cooked in the attempts to relieve my agony, evcrything was used, mustard piasters, turpeutine, hot cloths and all such things. I was in this condition, giveu up by the doctor, and almost out of ;uv miud with suffering. I commemrd takiiii; Doan'sKidney Pilis, and really I felteasiei in 20 minutes.. After about two liours I had a passage of urine, and passed blood and some 'gravel' stones which grcailv relieved me. I rapldly improved. I took in UI six boxes, and I feel to-day entirely wdl.
