Many complaints havo come to the board of health duringr the heated term of offensive odors arising from privy vaults. vvhich upon inspeetion have not boen found to contain sullicient matter to warrant the board in taking aetion to have them cleaned and the contente removed. The board of health would thorefore recornmend thatall persons having such offensive vaulta (and others, too) procure aquantity of slaked lime and occasionally ecatter some In their vaults. ïhis wül overeóme the offensive odora and add much to the eleanliness and senltary condition of the same.
