The O. N. O. will hold their annual picnic at Whitmore, Wednesday, Aug. "th. Miss Lottie White, who has been visiting her uncle, Joe White, has returned to her home in the north. The Pittsfleld Union Sunday School will hold an ice-cream social at the residonce of C C. Sherwood, Friday evening, Aug. 9. All are cordially invited to corae aod bring 10 cents. UDUi Miss Ban-, of Saline, visited her aunt, Mrs. Winslow, part of last vvetfk. Mr. M. Parks, of Owosso, has been visiting his daughter, Mrs. Henry Wilson. DELHI HI1.LS Cora Ryan, of Ypsilanti, is visiting Miss May Davis. Mrs. H. Davis is in Ypsilanti with her sister, Mrs. Ryan. Rosa Marsh is again out on the street, dfter several weeks illness. Quite a party of Milan people are camping out near Monroe for a few days. Mis. Dr. Hall, oi Ypsilanti, was the guest of Mrs. Lucy Clark Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Kuiler are the guests of Mrs. Fuller's parents, Atty. G. R. Williams and wife. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Rouse are entertaining Mr. Starks, of Ludington, the leader of H. Wills' quartette. Nel lie Knight indulged in a birthday party a few days ago. All of the little people had a very enjoyable time. Wilson's saw mili and machinery burned Saturday morning, early. Loss, $3000- no insurance. It is thought the mili was struck by lighning. H. O. Wills still holds the fort in Progressive Milan. It was estimated that there were over 3000 people in the grove Sunday to listen to H. U. Wills and his famous quartotte. They will remain in Milan all of this week and over Sunday. Mr. Chas. Gauntlett has issued a challenge to any number of ball games for from $5 to $26, the games to be played in Milan, so the Mi an Leader 3ays. Miss Agnes Finnell expects to take an outing bofore long, camping at Lake Erie. Mis. Mary Brown, of Detroit, has been viaiting at Arthur C'overts this weck. .Miss Anna Matteson returned home l'Yiday from a two weeks' visit at Alma. llob. Shankland, James Finnell and Leslio Bush played base ball at Caerry Hill Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Evylln Foot, of Ypailanti, are spending the week at Mr. R. Townsend's. Mr. ;ind Mrs. Rausonschaler, of Cai-leton. spent Saturday and Stinday with Bev. Newkirk and family. The attendance at the oolored camp meeting in Matteson's grove still continuos to hold good; espeeially on Tuesday and Friday evenings when they hold their concerto. Mrs. Blower, of Plymouth, who was well-known in this vicinity, waí buried last Saturday at that place. The Epworth League will hold a literary entertainment in the Church one week from tomorrow evening. Mr. Pred. Braun, brother of John Braun of this place, spent a part of last week. visiting relatives here after an absence of thirty-two years.
