A cycllst wlio had lost hi3 frlend asked an oíd woman if she had seen a man on a bicycle along there. She answered: "No, sir; but I saw a man mending umbrellas at the top of yon lañe." The cyclist went up the lañe, and was amused to find that the "man mending umbrellas" was his friend, vho had come a cropper and was slt;ing among the ruins of his machine.-
