Burllng W. Grault and M. Roy, prominent in New Orleans society, were drowned there. Grault feil overboard and Roy tried to save him. Slx persona were drowned at Lake Geneva, Wis., by the capslzing oí a pleasure boat. The village of Cantón, Kas., was almost totally destroyed by a cyclone. Twenty-five persons were hurt, many it U thought fatally. Five sailors were drowned in Lake Michigan, off Chicago, in Sunday's storm. The furniture store of E. C. Eckhart, 3739 Cottage Grove avenue, Chicago, was damaged by flre. The loss is estimated at 2,000. Fire partUlly destroyed the new pavilion at Lake Park, Milwaukee. Fire at Scotia, Cal., destroyed the Pacific Lumber Compsn'-'s plant. Loss, $250,000. The Morgan Lumber Company's yards and buildings at Reedsburg, Wis., were burned. Loss, $12,000; insurance, $4,000. The town of Lorenville, Ont., was almost destroyed, twenty-flve dwelllngs being burned. Loss, $30,000, with very little Insurance. Á farmer named Lyle, of Madison, Wis., was robbed of $400. M. Dolan. a street car conductor, was robbed and murdered on a lonely street In Spqkane. Charles Finley, aged 21, of 105 North Third street was drowned while swimmlng north of Milwaukee. Two negro are llght trimmers were killed by coming in contact wlth a live vvire at Augusta, Ga. Adolph Stang, 8 year3 old, was drowned while bathing In Lake Michigan at Clark Station, Ind. An eastbound Union Paclflc fruit special was wrecked at Rawlins, Wyo., three cars being deitroyed. Two boys stealing rides, Frank Bodie and Williarn Hayes, were fatally hurt. John Rice, 19, was drowned while batning at Paris, 111. George Peters, ?9, was killed by a live electris wire at Davenport, Ia. Frank Barton was beaten probably faf.ally by tramps at Ottumwa, Ia. Dennis Knapp was run over and killed by a wheat-cuttljijr machine at Hartland, O. W. C. Davenport, 19, was hot fatally by a companlon accidentalljr at Jeffernvllle, Ind.
