The Odd Pellows of Michigan are making elabórate preparations for theii annual cantonment to be held here Oc tober 8th and 9th. Headquarters have been established at the Cook House, where all officers are required to repori at 10 a. m. on Ootober 8 to Mayor J. J. Ferguson, of the Ann Arbor Cantón, for full instruction in regard to the prize drills. Some fine prize drills wil] be given. The prizes of all kinds to be oftered are as follows: Best drilled Cantón $75 00 Second best drilled Cantón 50 00 Third " " " 2." 90 Fourth " " " 12 50 Total $1)2 GO To the commanders of Cantons will be given prizes as follows : lst Prize $10 00 2nd " 7 50 3rd " 5 00 4th " 2 .".0 Total $25 00 There will also be offered prizes for sword drills open to all Ofücers and Chevaliers who may compete: lst Prize $10 00 2nd " 7 f0 3rd " 5 6o 4th " 2 Í0 Total t25 00 The following special prizes will also je given : Cantón traveling longest distanco with not less than fifteen swords $25 00 liargest Cantón in Line 25 00 Oldest Chevalier marching in full Uniform 5 00 Youngest Chevalier marching in full Uniform 2 50 Total $57 60 Special prizes, Kebekahs to decide: iandsomest Chevalier $2 50 Homliest " 2 50 ralles " ü 50 Shortest " 2 50 Total 810 00 In addition to these the Rebekahs of Ann Arbor will give to both the heavest and lightest Chevalier, marchin? n full uniform, a handsome P. M. Badge, suitably engraved. We are informed that there will likey be several other special prizes offerd, but which have not as yet been setled upon. It is the intention of the Odd Fellows of Michigan to make this meeting one of the best attended and most interesting ever held in the state. he Ann Arbor Oddfellows are hard at vork preparing for the occasion and will leave nothing undone to make the meeting ono long to be remembered.
