Armenians Fear Another Massacre
Advices received from Frzinghamam, Armenia, sa3' that great terror prevaila there owinpf to the attitude of the 'Turkish authorities. The latter, in eonsequence of an attack which was :-reeently raade ly brigands upon a Turkish colonel during which a memIer of his escort was killed, are believed to be taking steps which will have most Berious consequences. The Armcnians are accused of being (the authors of the attack on the colonel and it is alledged that a larga force of Turkish troops has been retaliating by attacking the villages and ■monasterios of the vieinity and engagLÏng in other acts of violence. The -Armenians, fearing a recurrence of the of the Sassoun outrage, have appealed to the ambassadora of the powers at uistantinople for protection.
