Miss Lí.yác Mayer has a bran new piano. Mr. Augustus Savage, of thc town line, is very si. k. Mr. Arthur Covert attended the Toledo fair last week. School commences here Monday with Miss Allie Shuart as teacher. Mrs. J. B. Eldert, of Detroit, drove from there to Dixboro Sunday to visit friends. Mrs. Ida Penniman and daughter, of Ypsilanti, visited Mrs. P. L. Townsjnd last week. Mr. Freeman Shuart and wife will return to their home here from Whitmore lake, this week. Mrs. F. P. Galpin has been visiting her brot.her near Benton Harbor. She returned home Tuesday. While Mr. Rufus Crippen was in the field at work one day last week a sneak thief made off with bis watch and öve dollars. DELHI 'IU,I,N. Mrs. H. Davis has gone to Ypsilanti to stay with her sister for a short time. Mr. Frank Dazton and bride have been stopping at Mr. Babcock's for several days. Mrs. Slimmer and children havo roturned from Lansing, where she went to visit her sister. School begun last Monday Miss Clara Feiner, of Ann Arbor teacher, and twelve scholars. Mrs. E. Davis and brother, Mr. Richmond, entertained their sister from Jackson last week. M-s. J. Ryan from Dearborn, has been visiting among relatives and neighbors for a few days. Miss Mary and little Willie Roost, were in Toledo last week visiting Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Durand. Mr. Nelson Marsh, night operator, is off for a vacation now. Mr. Wolihan, of Ceresco, is working in his place. Miss Myrtie Gardner has roturned to her home in Ann Arbor aftor spending several days with Miss Rosa Marsh. There was a Mr.Baker from Manchester, looking over the place Monday. He is thin king of starting another grbcery here. GBOBES. School opened Monday with a good attendanee and Miss Tromper at the helm. Mrs. Wm. Randall and danghter, of Beloit, Wis., are visiting at Jas. Rashes. Mis. H. J. Cook, of Grand Rapids, is visiting with her párente, Mr. and Mrs. A. Schlee. Wm. Gould and wife, of Northville, made a short visit with their cousin, the night operator, Sunday. Mi-s. G. W. Brown, of Pittsburg, who has boen visiting hor aunt, Mrs. Chas. Miles, returned home Monday, Mrs. A. J. Camp is home after .pending a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Xichols, of Adair, Mich.
