John Browkaw, a bicyclist, 24 years ld, was training for a road race at Wheeling, W. Va., last week and was using a trolley car in the southern suburb as pacemaker, following the car at a safe distance. The car slackened its speeed and Browkaw decided to pass it. He turned out, head down, into the other track just in time to collide with another car coming in the opposite direction. His head struck the front of the car with terrible forcé, bursting his skull and killing him instantly. The bicycle was not damaged.
