Atroeites by Spaníards have just been reported to the Cuban revolutionary party in New York, in a letter from Juan Franco, chief of staff, under Gen. ("roraez the comraaDder-in-chief of the insurgent army. It gives details of tlie capture and recapture of the city of Baire, and the massacre of 37 inoffenaive Cubana, inostly women and hildren, by the Spaniards under (urriio. The Ohio Wool Growers' association paased resolutiona urging the Kiftyfourth eongress to pass legislation favorable to wool protection. Benjamin Sntter, treasurerof Ripley township, I'ntnam county, ()., is missing1 and his accounts are about 7,000 short. It is feared he has suicided. A horrible accident occurred at the State fair grouuds at Spriugfield, 111. l'he west tower of the great machinery hall, which is being roofed, collapsed aud feil In, burving' several men beneath its ruins. Two were killed outright and three probably fatally injured.
