Not one Ufe insurance company is now doing business in Kansas. The statutory conditions are so onerous that all have wiihdrawn. The State Banking Life assoeiation, of Des Moines, rov.a, was the last and only one in the field, and it has just permitted its 11to lapse rather than file a $50,000 bond and make a deposit with the state treasurer of 10 per cent of all assess■ ments.
