A bout 150 delegates to the eia-hth animal convention of the Michigan state Bankers' association met iu Y. M. ('. A. hall. Detroit, for their business sessions. Hou. Dun M. Dickioson welcomed the men of finance and IIod. G. J. Diekcraa, of Holland, responded. President S. M. Cutcheon, of Detroit, in liis annual address spoke of the recent changes in banking laws and urged several more, such as the abolishing of the "days of grace." The annual banquet at the Russell house was very elabórate and the responses to toasts to the point. The ofh'cers as chosen by the nominating committee for the ensuing year were as follows: President, L. H. Withey, (irand Rapids; first vice president, W. J. Cocker, Adrián; second vice president Mark S. Hreweri Pontiac; executive council, J. A. Cavorde, lirand Kapids; G. B. Morley, East Saginaw; Ceo. A. Abbott, Muskegon, and A. G. Bishop, Flint.
