Mr. Whitford's Lecture

Rev. J. B. Whitford, the Methodist minister stationed at Caro, Mich., gare a very interesting lecture at the Uni tarian church, Monday evening, before the Unity Club, upon "Dante." He an enthusiastic admirer and profoum 9tudent of the great Italian poet. Hi analysis of the Divine Comedy wa clearand masterly. Mr. Whitford ha a sweot voice, graceful inanners, ant clear enunciation. His lecture was one of the most delightful ever given in the city. It was filled with poetic thought Spendid descriptions and moral refleo tions, liberal, generous and inspiring It was fully up to the high standard o entertainments given in the Unity Club course.
