Uth, says: "As a laugh producer, "My Wife's Friend" met with instantaneous success at the Grand on Saturday night, and the play bids íair to establish a niche for itself alongside of the several phenominal successes of a simular nature already on the road. The action is lively, the dialoeue bright and f ree from vulgarity and suggestion, and the situations are both ludierous and mirth provokin ?, affording ampie scope for the display of talent so necessary for the sueeess of light comedy. The plot of the play hinges upon the efforts of the two leading charaeters to successfully deceive one another and the world as well. The fun increases as the play progresses. Wm. C. Andrews, in the title role of Jck Luster, had a part eminently suited to him, and filled it well. The work of H.
