Geo. Chandler visited in Owosso last week. Judgfe E. D. Kinne ia holding court in Monroe. Miss Mary Cooley visited friends in Lansing last week. Mr. Bert Holmes has been seriously ill with fever for several days. Dr. A. S. McGuire, of Detroit, spent Easter with his parents in this city. J. H. Washburn, of Calkins' Pharma.cy, spent Easter at Oberlin, Ohio. Miss Ruth Kapp left Monday to spend the week with friends in Jackson. Miss Cora Wilson carne over from Adrain to spend Easter with friends here. Emanuel Allmendinger has packed up his household goods and retui'ned to Chicago. Mrs. Celia Carr, of Omaha, Neb., was the guest of Mrs. J. W. Johnston last week. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tressprich visited Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Spring of S. 5th-st., last week. Rev. J. P. Morden, of Londen, Ontario, is visiting Mrs. J. L. Chapman, of Spring-st. Geo. Gruff carne down from Marshall last week and spent a few days here the guest of friends. Mrs. S. E. Sheehan, of Detroit, was the euest of Mrs. N. H. Drake for a few daj's last week. Rev. C. A. Young, of Chicago, preached at the Chureh of Christ last Sunday morning and evetiincr. Mr. D. A. Hammond, formerly of The Argus, was in the city visiting his family for a few days last week. Prof. G. P. Coler returned last Saturday from Ionia where he attended the state meeting of the Y. P. S. C. E. Miss Rose Wood-Allen, who has been ut the Battle Creek Sanitarium for 3everal weeks, returned last Saturday. Eli S. Manly has returned from Mt. Clemens where he has been taking treatment for rheumatism at the bat.hs there. Miss Victoria Lentwoin, who is teaching in the Saginaw schools, iL visiting her father, Prof. Loutwein, for a few days. Prof. and Mrs. J. O. Reed and Miss Gomberg, of Ann Arbor and Mrs. Lewis; of Saginaw, sail for Germany Saturday to be gone a year. Prof. W. W. Beman is away this week visiting a number of high schools which have applied for admission to the University dipolma liit. A. A. Pearson began work Monday as local editor of The Times in place of Mr. Geo. Halier who served his connection with that paper last Monday. AngelĂ­ returned Monday f rom Chicago where he had been attendinjj a conference of the Associntion of Colleges and Secondary Schools of the Northwest. Prof. W. B. Hinsdale, dean of the Homeopathie department will attend a banquet to be given at the Russell house in Detroit tomorrow cight by the Homeopathie physiciana of that city.
