The marriage of Mrs. Mary Lord Dimmick to Gen. Benjamin Harrison was solemnized at St. Thomas church, New York City. Dr. Wesley Brown, rector, officiated at the ceremony. The marriage, which took place in the presence of 20 relatives and select friends of the bride and groom, was a very private afïair. A f ter a brief but pretty ceremony and a, light dinuer at the house oiAr. and Mrs. Pinchot the couple took a private car for Indianapolis. Mrs. Dimiaick's wedding gown, was of pearl gros grain and silk. The skirt was plain, with a short train ruiling (rom the waist in full. soft godets. A Louis XVI coat, opening In front over a full vest of white chifton, with broad revers, draped with rare oíd Honiton lace, half a yard in width, extending down each sido of the front and draped over the hips, forming a coat effect. The sleeves were long and (uil. tapering to the arm below the elbo wand endiner in a fali of lace at the wnsl Around the neck there was a plush collar of palest blue velvet. over which was entwined a robe of magnüicent pearls fastenod wlth a diamond clasp, the elft of the bridegroom. Slie carried a large bouquet of lilies of the valley. The bonnet worn by the bride was composed of lace and blue velvet, with a white aigrette held In place by jewel ptns. The groom wore a well-made Prince Albert coat, closely buttoned, with trousers of dark gray. White gloves and a white slik four-inhand tle completed the bridegroom's attire. He wore a bouttonniere of Hiies of the valley. Mrs. Harrlson. who is a small but verygraceful woman, rather dark complexion and of a very bright and attractive appearance. is related to Uen. Harrison through his late wife who was her aunt. She was born at Princeton, Pa., where she berame acquainted with her tlrst husband. Walter E. Uimmick, member of a wealthy Pennsylvania lamily. who died within a few months aftcr their marriage. She spent considerable time at the White House duriug Oen. Harrison's admimstration and was a great favorito uth her aunt, the late Mrs. Harrlson. Gen. Harrison was born in North Beod.O.. in August. 1833, and is In his 63d year. He is a frandson of W. H. Harrison, eighth president of the United States. In 185T he was marrled in Indiauapolis to the late Mrs. Harrison.
