Hutcninson, Managing Editor of '97 Oracle, is now reading law in Ionia. Clark Tuomy, '96 medie, has established a larga practice in western, Minn. James G.Halaplian has recently started a private preparatory school in Toledo. MissSabin, M. A.. is teaching Latin and History in the Fort Wayne High School. G. C. Yoes, '96 law, is establishing a practice at his home town, Van Burren, Arkansas. Miss A. Iberahoff who attended college last year is in the training school in Saginaw. A. F. Rockwell, '96 Iit, i principal and teacher of sciences in the Howell High School. Mr. J. Brenneman, '94 Llt., has returned to college and is now taking medical work. D. H. Wright, '97 Iit, is superintendent of the M. E. Sunday School in North Side Chapel. H. L. Underwood, '96 medie, is assistant general secretary of the Y. M. C. A. in Brooklyn, N. Y. All students intending to go home to vote should correspond with their home Central Co. Committee. Mr. Cari Ibershoff '98 Iit is teaching the 3rd grade Germán department in the Saginaw High School. Judge William A. Marsh, '83 law, is a candidate for the governorship of Colorado on the prohib ilion ticket. The regents have appropriated $600 to the Woman's Gym. The money is to be used in fitting certain rooms for immediate use. Miss Maud E. Cooley, 96 Ut., was re cently married to Mr. Louis Seeley. Mr. and Mrs. Seeley have a beautiful home in Cairo, Mich. Profs. Freer, Worchester, and Lamson have a cottage on the chain of lakes near Pettysville and are spending their Saturdays there shooting. The officers elected by the senior dental cl ass are as follows; President, George Edger; vice-pres.. Cari Putt; sec, Wm, Purmort; treas., J. M, Ro senthal. Librarían Davis' recent report show that the whole number of bound books in the library is 105,047, unbound pamphlets, 17.509, maps 1,197. In addition to this there are some 5,000 unclassifled volumes. The student demonstrators in the boys' departement in the anatomical laboratory this year are Measrs Burr and Baker, juniors, and Mr. Hutchins, Sophomore. R.B. Smith, who studied in Germany during the past year, has returned to do work in the U. of M. and to take his old place in the High School Phyilcal Labaratory. George H. Snow, '90 lit., formerly city editor of Th Ann Arbor livjüitr, and now uve editor ef th Detroit Ereninr News, was married Wednesday eveWng, Oct. 31, to Miss Kathleen B. O'Malley, of Detroit. Th Y. M. C. A. resding room is open to all students of the U. of M, and il supplied with the Uadlng magazines of the day. Students are cordially invited to make use of the room and b prsnt at all the meetings of the assoolation. S. M. Cowgill has Just returned froro an extended trip through England, Germany, France and Switzerland. One year of his absence was spent in stud.y at Heidelburu Univereity. He will now eume his work in the Medical Department. Kddie Shields, spent one month aftur school closed playing ball with the Wheeling, W. Va., team. He theu played a month with the Jackson team, and now announces his intention of retiring from the diamond. He is now practicing law with his father and is stumping the county for silver. Students at the University who have at any time attended the Ferris Indusrial School are requested to send their names and addresses to Frank M. Byam, 10i S. State Street. The "University Ferris Industrial Union" will oon hold its flrst meeting forthecolege year and a large attendance is deired. Herrick and Lamb settled the University tennis championship Monday and Herrick was the winner. A strong objection is being made to giving the Varsity M to anybody not a member of ome University team and the Athletic Association wiil probably have the M on Herricks sweater made in a fancy old English form. At the recent regento' meeting Pre. Angelí advisod the arrangement of courses of instruction 10 at to pertnlt tudents to gradúate from both literary and professional departments without aking somuch time at i now required. He also suggested that it might be well o allow students to take certain books i-om the library for use at their rooms. On the evening of Nov. C, in the Waerman Gymnatium will occur the annual FreshmaD Spread. The 't9 girls are doing their utmost to make the afair as enjoyable and successful as it has ever been. Miss Carhart is chairman of the Reception Committee, Miss inowlton of the Invitation Commitee, Miss Petit of the Refreshment C!oramittee and Miss Bunker of the Finance Committee.
