San Francisco, Cal., Oct. 23. - The barkentine The City of Papeete has arrived, thirty-six days from Tahiti, after a fair voyage. Among her passengers were Frank Cutter and J. Frank Goff oL Salt Lake, two Mormon missionaries. The young men went to the islands in 1892 and reopened the work of their ohurch in the Society, Tuomaotu and Austral groups, where it had been practically dead owing to the banishment of Mormons by the French government. In less than four years thirteen missions have been opened in these three groups.
