Cantón, Ohio, Oct. 22.- Sons cf Illinois gave greeting to Major McKinley to-day. The first party carne iti a epecial car attached to the regular Pennsylvania train that arrived at 2:30 o'clock this morning. At 7 o'clock a special train ofseven coaches carne in over the Cleveland, Cantón & Southern, bringing a delegation from Paris, II]., and vicinity. Th on carne the Springfleld delegation. '1 hfr body marched as a club, and each member wore a badge inscribed "Froim the home of Uncoln to the heme of McKinley, Oct. 21, 1896." Within a few minutes another train reached here from Chicago. It was thronged. Closely following came. another from the world's fair city. Three carloads of matched black horses were unloadekl from a Chicago special train, to te used in the parade. By noon ths city was well filled with visitors. . When all the delegations had arrived and the staff marshals had brought order out of the crowd of visitors, the big parade was started. It moved through thp principal streets to Major McKinIoy's home, wijere addresses were made.
