Report On Foreign Missioms
Springfield, 111., Oct. 23.- The second session of the Foreign Christian Missionary society was held thls morning ;vith a large attendance. The committee on nominations reported the following for offlcers of the society for the croming year: President, C. h. Roos, Lexington, Ky.; vice-presidents, F. M. Rains and J. A. Lord, Cincinnati, Ohio; L. E. Brown, Hamilton, Ohio; George A. Miller, Covington, Ky., and F. O. Fannan, Cincinnati; recording secretary S. M. Cooper, Cincinnati; treasurer, W. S. Dickinson, Cincinnati; corresponding secretary, A. McLean, Cincinnati; auditor, Joseph W. Wright, Cincinnati. The above officers also constitute the executive committee. The second session of the convention of the Woman's Home Missionary society of the Methodist Episcopal church was alse held. Alter devottonal exercises aad readlng of minutes, reporta of conference secretaries and of bureaiw for various states and territories wero made, which showed that a vast amount of work was being accomplished.
