Lrane, '06 lit, is taking a course in la wat Columbia ooilege this year. E. C. Woodruff, '91 lit., is teaching science in the high school at Coldwater, Mich. C. H. Jennings, '93 lit, has won a Harvard fellowship and is now studying in Europe. Julia B. Clifford, '97 lit., is now lal instructor in biology in the Minneapolis high school. E. B. House, 96 Eng-., is professor of M aihematics in the Colorado State Agricultural college. Ada M. Cartwright, '96 lit.,iscourt reporter for her father, Judgo Carf wrijiht, of Oregon, 111. Secret practice in preparation for the Minnesota game began on the Athletic field Monday afternoon. Miss Josephine Daniels, '98 lit, on account of ill health, is spending the winter in San José, Cal. Rufus Cole, "96 lit, is attending Johns Hopkins Univorsity vvhere he expects to gradúate in medicine. Wt. M. Downing, 95 law, formarly woll known here as newspaper correspondent, is practicing in Denver. Charlotte Picket,'96 lit., is at Golden, Colorado, vvhere she has a good position as teacher of bioiogy in the public schools. C. II. Peters, '95 lit., has a professorship in the Normal Schooi at Erie, Pa., his department being that of biolog-y. W. C. Borst, 96 Eng., is teaching in the Manual Training Denver High School. His work is in drawing and general science. A rulo has been laid down in the gym. which forbids two students to use the same locker. Persons violating this rule vvill be forbidden the use of the building. The Womans' League is making arrangements for a reception for Dr. Mosher to be held in the near tuture. They hope to be able to hold it in the new gymnasium. Hon. Frank Plumley, of Northfieldi Vt., who did valuable work for McKinley by stumping Michigan this fall in tho interest of sound money is a Michigan alumnus of 'G9. At last the women have a gymnasium all thoir own. Practico in the annex began last Monday. MÍ3S Snyder will be gymnasium instructor while Dr. Mosher, as physical director, will oversea the work. It is hoped that most of the women will buy the regular suits whioh Dr. Mosher recommends - but thia will not be required and other suits may be worn by those who desire them. Coach McCauley made a communication to the Detroit Journal after the Lehigh game in which he severely reprimanded tho Detroit Alumni for not" giving1 more patronage to Michigan foot ball. He advises no moro Detroit games unless they can be made more of a linancial success, and this will not be possible unless the Detroit Alumni show more interest in the contests held in this city.
