HOW IT MAY BE OBTAINED BY ALL. An Interesting Bit of History as Told by a Travelling Man, Followed by Affidavits of Two Prominent People. From the World, Cleveland, Ohio. After an extended trip lasting several months and erubracing many points of interest throughout the West and South, Mr. George Lockhart, of Hudson, Ohio, returned home a few days ago. He is bright and genial as ever and looks as if his long holiday had thorough'ry agreed with him. Mr. Lockhart's business during histravels took him frequently to Hot Springs and other health resorts. He does not appear to have been very favorably impressed with Hm nppnliiirities of life at such places, nor with the beneflts reccived by the patients. " Men go there to ge,t cured of disease," says he. "Theytake one liot bath in the morning and spend the rest of the day generally in drinking, garabling ar.d general dissipation. How they can expect to recover under sueh treatment passe3 my eomprehension.. But they are, as a rule, what the world calis good fellows, free with thcir money and bent on enjoying themselves. " With one man, however, whora I met at such a place I forraed what I hope will prove a permanent friendship. I am inc'.êbtcd to him for benefits which have left on my mind a feeling of the strongest gratitude. I was as you know, not at all well. A ílight lameness in my right log, contraeted about a year ago, had gradually become worse until I was compelled to go around on crutches nll the time. Then my general health fafled, and in the latter part of the Bummer I had about concluded to come home to die. Such a, state of aftaú-s, as you ■will easily understand was anything but comfortable. I was, in fact, neitker more nor less than a helpless invaüd, a nuisance to mvself and everybody around me. It was at th'is juncture tluit one day on the train 1 feil into conversation with the man I mentira. He recommended me to try Dr. Williams' Pink Pilis. 1 did so. You see the result." , , . , . And Mr. Loekhart expanded his broacl chest and smiled. "Look here," lie continued as he took c.T his hat and holding H on a level with his head, kieked it easily with the foot that used to be lame. No better picture of perfect health and abounding animal spirits could be wished for tlian this one-time invalid. " My future movements are uncertam," saidMr. Loekhardt at partiiii;. " I wül remain in Hudson for soine time, but before the summer is over I expect to make a visit to Europe." A Lumberman's Experience. Prom the Breeze, Bellaire, Mich. "Have Pink Pilis done me any gooi? What, Dr. Wiljiams' Pink Pilh for Palé People? Indeed, I should think they have. "My family have every rcason to feel grateful to Dr. Williams for liis wonderful medicine," said James F. Rose, a gentleman tixty-three years of age, and onc of the oldest scttlers of Helena Township, la Antrim Coanty, Michigan. "I was working with some large logging wheels lumbering, some eighteen years ago, and was seriously injured. I was thrown a long distance striking on some logs and I broke my left hip, fractured three nbs, and injured my. left shoulder. I was unconscious twenty-four hours, and ït was a long time before I could walk at all. " Finally I got so I could hobble aronnd a little, but always suffered great pain while moving about. I conld sit ín a chair quite eomfortably but could only get up aftergreat difflculty and by helping myself with my hands or with other assistanee. " I had consulted physicians and tried a good many remedies but with no satisfactory results. " We read of the Marehall case, of Hnmilton, Ontario, a wonderful cure attributed to Dr. Williams' Pink Pilis for Pale Peoplc. I sent for a box of theni, nnd was liclped at once, and by the time 1 had taken one box I eould get up out of the chair as spry as any one, aud could run, and do any kind of vork I ever could. " Since taking Pink Pilis I have been able to work at such ivork as aawing wood- rolling logs, in fact, I have no occasion to fuvor myself on account of myinjury. Wliy, last summer I dugaditch eighty rods long and two feet deep. I attiïbute my freedom from pains entirely to Pink Pilis. It is a wonderful medicine. I think my wife's cure from creeping paralysia was eren greater than mine." Mr. Rose desired to put the above in the form of an affidavit, and did so as foüows : State of Michigan, { coünty of antrim. ( James F. Rose, being duly sworn on hi oath saya that the foregomg statement is true. James F. Rose. Sworn and subscribed to before me thi 29th day of February, 1896. C. E. Densmore, Notary Public From the Breeze, Bellaire, Mich. Dk. Williams' Medicine Compasy, 1 Schenectady, N. Y. J Gentlemen:-! feel that I should writt you of the benefit I have received from your Pink Pilis for Palé People. I have been a great sufferer, and for nearly twenty ycara cannot truly say I have seen a wdl day until aftcr I used Pink Pilis. I was an invalid for fourteeu years, seven of wliich I was almost helpless, and had to be carried when moved from place to place. I was trouliled with serious stomach troubles, and was constantly growing worse. My feet became paralyzed, then my ankles and afterwards my knees becarae paralyzed. We became eonvinced that crceping paralysis had fastened itself upou me, and my death was thought to be a matter of only a short time. My liusband had procnred some Pink Pilis, and as they were helping him greatly I tried them, and eau iruly say of them that they are au extraordinary medicine. I have experieneed relief beyond my fondest hope almost. My paralysis is a thiñ.n of the past, and though I am a iroman of sixty-threc years, I now do all my housework, and am enjoying good health. Thanks to Dr. Williams vul hia medicines. [Signed.] Margaret Rose.
