Postoffice Receipts

Tihe postdffice department rejjorts a falling off of $1,500,000 in the postoffice receipts for the quarter ending Sept. 30, as eompared with the preceding quarter. This decrease in revenue is an indication of bad times, for the postal revenue increases more rapicüy than population in prosperous years, and there should have been an increase of nearly $1,000,000 under normal cmditions.
