Niles, Mich., Nov. 24. - Delbert E. Mitten, messenger for the American Express Company, was arrested to-day charged with stealing $2,000 from the company. The crime is alleged to have been committed last Wednesday when a package containing ?2,000 was sent by the Citizens' National Bank of this city to the Bankers' National Bank of Chicago. About half of the money has been recovered.
