Denver, Col., Dec. 15.- It is claimed by the leaders in the movement to send troops from Colorado to fight for Cuban independence that more than 1,000 n? mes have already been enrolled. John McAndrews, middle-of-the-road Populist candidate for attorney-general at the recent election, has been chosen commander, with the title of colonel. In reference to their plans Mr. M.:Amdrews said: "The volunteers wlll not leave Denver in small bodies and by stealth, as was originally proposed. Neither are they likely to go to the gulf coast on railroad trains. Instead they will move overland, either on foot or on horseback, picking up tributary armies along the line of maren, until, upon reaching Florida, they will have swelled to such a mighty host that the United States authorities will not care or dare to interfere with their embarkation for Cuba." Col. McAndrews further asserted that interference with their plans woulfl, he bej&veti, precipítate a revolutiwn in this cöWtry.
