Topeka, Kas., Dec. 12.- Gov. MorriU has granted a pardon to James L. Dick, the defaulting treasurer of Ellsworth county, who was sentenced in 1895 to twelve years' imprisonment. John Dick, only son of the prisoner and sole support of the prisoner's wife, has been killed in a railroad accident, and Gov. Merrill at once granted the pardon.
