Better Banking Laws
Miraaukee, Wis., Doe üx.- Stalt. Bank Examiner Kidd ha& eompleted his third-semi-annual report, and in it he suggests some radical changes in state laws relative to the banking business. He recommends more stringent afeguards against bad management and that the laws be changed so as to encourage the organization of state banks. fíe also wants help in examining books or suggests that his chief clerk be authorized to make examina.ions. There were eight banks organized during the year, four state and four private, and there were four suspensions. Eight other banks went into vcluntary liquidation.
