Carl Halir
The third concert in the Choral Uuion Series, Fii lay.evening, Jan. 8th, will introducé to Ann Arbor the greatest living Germán violinist, Cari Halir. At the Thomas concert in Chicago, last week, at which Mr. Halir appeared, he uchieved the greatest success of any violinist of recent years, not excepting Ysaye. Tho Chicago papers unanimously conceded this and described ais appearanco as a genuino ovation. He will present a magnificent program, in which he will be assisted by Mr. J. Erich Schmaal, of Chicago, pianist. This announcemenf, will, without doubt, givegreat pleasure to the musical circles of this cotnmunity, and bis appearance will not only give great satisfaction to his former friends, but will uudouotedly win him a largo and enthusiastic circle of new admirers.
