Madrid, Jan. 12.- The popular inipatience with üie government because oí' the failure to supprcss the rebellions in Cuba and the Philippi'ne islands is daily inereas.ug. Thousands of the 'oung men of Spain have been sent lo Cuba, where they lïave died of disease or trom the hardships oL the campaigft. Their families believe they would yet be ali?e were it not for tho proï'-iting policy of Capt.-Gen. WeyIer, v;io, despite his promises to pu? tJie insurrection, has apparently accorapltshed little, while his unacclinr twl troops have been dying by scores or hundreds. Tiio. leaders of both the conservative and libera! parties are destrusted and the politica] outlook is chaotic. Rumors of a change in the ministry are frequently put into circulation and as frequently denied, but in the presen; temper of the people the succession of the liberáis to power would not banish the distrust which prevails everywhere. The future is looked forward ;o with much anxiety.
