Alleged Hypnotizer Pardoned

ropeka, Kas., Jan. 13.- The last. officia: act of Gov. Morrill was the pardoning of Andersou Gray, the Sumner couuty farmer, entenced to death foi' instigating the murder oí Thomas Patten, a neighboring farmer, in May, 1894. The murder was committed by Thomas E. McDonald. Gray's hum hand, Gray, it is claimed, having hypnotized McDonald and compellei liini to lo murder. On trial McDonald wa acquitted.
