íbe W. C. T. U. Flower Mission un the direction of Mrs. Chas. Worden, Supt., Sunday afternoon, was a sourco of great joy to the suiïering ones at the Hospitals. Sorvices were held in tho auditorum quite a number of the patienls and also many citizensattending. Mrs. Hurry gave a brief but very interesting sketch of Miss Jennic Cassidny's life. She at tho suggestion of Miss Willard became National Supt. of the Flower Mission, even though she was for nearly 30 .years a suffering invalid. Through her intluence much has been done tocheer the surfering all over the country, shovving how much can be done by oneconfined lo her room and much of the time to her bed. It was one of Miss Cassiday's last and most successful efïorts to secure the means by which to establish a "Rest Home" for working girls. This she uceomplished in her own city, Louisville, Ky. How we wish tliat many others might be simularly inclined and as successful, for very few of us know of the thousands living right in our midst, who need every cent thcy can earn to provide the necessaries for themselves and families, who eannot take time or money for the rauch needed recreation all require, to be healthy and happy. Following tho sketch of Miss Cassiday's lifc were a few remarks by ou W. C. T. U. l'res., Mrs. Voorhies, on the lessons to be learned from the beautiful llowers. Miss Rose Wood-Allen spokc very interestinely along the same line. Flowors were distributed by the ladies, among the wards in both laospi [ tais and flowers were in abundance, foi which we heartily thank the friends who so generousiy contributed. Thoso enjoying the sweet odors and bright colors will repay the dobt atu show their appreciation by similar enntributions to otber suffering ones sorae time in the future.
