Miss Lela Babcock is vtsiting friends in Jackson. Henry Binder, of Detroit, is visiting his tnother here. Mrs. Clarence Wescott visited friends in Milan last week. Railroad Jack was in the city for a few days last week. W. D. Adam3 was in Tiffln, Ohio, last week on business. Frank Amos and family have gone south for the summer. Miss May Cooley was in Sarina w last week to attend a wedding. E. C. Krapf has resigned as president of Becker's Military Band. Miss Pauline Keppler, of New Vork, is in the city for few a days. Mrs. M. Newraan is back from a month's visit at Mt. Pleasant. Sidney and E. E. Martin have gone to Saginaw to spend the summer. Miss Fannie Taylor is spending this week visiting friends in Detroit. Mr. and Mrs. Geo. E. Bliss will spend the next month in Utah and California. Mrs. W. II. Krapf, of Detroit-st , spent last week with friends in MUford, Mich. Mr. G. W. Doty is back from an extended visit with his brother in Saginaw. T. W. Mingay, of The Argus, returned Monday from a short ouiing in Canada. Prof. Frecl. C. Clark, Lit. '87, now of the State Univ. of Ohio, is visiting i the city. Dr. John Bighara, of De Pauw Univ. has returned to Ann Aroor to speud the summer. Arthur J. Svveet is in Detroit thU summer where he lias a big job drilling rails. Dr. Brooks bas goue to Hu ff aio, X. Y., to attend a meeting of eye and ar special ists. Miss Estella Keeler, of Detroit, is visiting Miss Emma Weinmann of E. Washington-st. J. Sprague left Monday a. m. for a business trip thruugh the northeni part of the state. E. N. Bilbie, of Pittsburg. Pa. is h re for a few clays visiting his parents and numerous friends. J. E. Wyman, who has been visiting friends here, has returned to his homo in Brooklyn, Mich. Mr. A. A. Pearson, city editor of The Times will spend six weeks in Ëurope this summer. Karl E. Harriman will go to Detroit July 5 to take a posútiop on the staff of the Detroit Journal. Miss Florence Foley, of Chicago, is speuding the summer with he grandmotner on Detroit-st. Mrs. J. L. P. McAllaster was called to Pennsylvania Monday by the serious illness of her brother. Eev. Father Kennedy, of Yp3ilanti, was the guest of Rev. E. D. Kelly during the June festival. Rev. R. M. McElroy delivered the annual missionary sermón at Albion college last Sunday night. Miss Eliza Hili has returned from South Dakota, where she has taught school during the past winter. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Dodsley, of Detroit-st , have goue to Fargo, S. D., to visit their son, Alvin Dodsluy. Arthur Covert, of Superior, is home from his year's work as head of the public schools at Schoolcraft, Mich. Burkc, who has taught the school in district No. l(i in Ann Arbor town, for the past four years, j has resigned. Hon. J. T. Jacobs left Tuosday mornIng for Los Angeles, California. He will be gone some time and will combine business with pleasure. Miss Daisy Hubbard, of Waldron, Mich., will spend coramencement week in the city the guest of her brother, L. llubbard, senior Lit. and editor of the Studeuts' Register. Mrs. Samuel G. Miller and daughter, Aura, of Prospect-st. expect to take advan tage of the Y. P. S. C. E. excursión ratos to California to visit Prof. and Walter Miller, of that state.
