Shorthand By Machinery
Shorthand writers will be pleased to learn that Mr. J. F. Hardy has invented a machine which will do much to lighten the physlcal labor of writing shorthand. It Is small and portable, measuring eight inches by seven inches and four inches high. It produces no sound - an indispensable quality, if several machines working at once are not to disturb a speaker and his audience. It may be said to be a miniature typewriter with only six keys, by the varlous combinatlons of which a species of Morse shorthand of dots an 1 dashes Is imprinted. - Inverness Courier.
