Mayor H iscock has vctood the action of the Council rescinding the resolution to permit the extensión of Mack & Co's store. Mr. Lorabarth was 88 yjars old, was born in Germany, and has lived in this country 50 years. Miss Maybelle Ga?e died yesterday at lier home on Mary street, after an illnes8 of four months. The deceased was 1!) years old and was a Sophmore in the High School. Parties wishing to Lave parcela or mossagcs delivered to the shooting club camp at Winan's Lake, can have the same promptly delivered by consigning thera to Harry Parr, Hamburg: Junction. The St. James Hotel was closed yesterday noon. Some disiigreement between the owner of the building and Landlord (.'ook caused the latter to close the house at once. Mr. Cook has conducted one of the best hotels in the city. It is unfortunatc that a settlement could not havo been made and the hotel continue to do business. Small boys have been violating the j City Ordinance in regard to swimming in the river without the proper elothingr and have caused a great deal of trouble. Yesterday Marshall Sweet and patrolman Armbruster made a raid and eaptured several of the boys and secured from them a promise to keep out of the river and teil on any of the boys who viólate the law hercafter. Jobn Bohn, Rinsey & Seabolt's popular clerk, èubscribed for the Register yesterdaj, announcing that as he is about to become the head of of family, ho would need a paper. Mr. Bohn further eald that the wed ding will tako place ono week f rom toJay, that the lady's home is in Detroit and that they wül live on North Fifth Avouuc.
