Mrs. Cornelia Perkins Knight, wife of J. W. Knight died last Priday evening after an illnessof ten days, brought on by the recent hot weather. The funeral services were held at the family residence last Sunday afternoon at five o'clock. The pall bearers were her two sons, her son-in-law, Prof. F. C. Clark, and her nephew, Mr. Jonathan Palmer, Jr. of Detroit. Mrs Knight was born in Norwich, Conn., January 20, 1822. She was the youngest daughter of Dr. Jephtha Hebbard, for many years a nrominp.nt. physician in Connecticut. Through her father's family she was a lineal discendant of Gov. Wüliatn Bradford, the second governor of Plymoutli colony, who was one of the colonista in the Mayilower on her first voyage to America. In 1829 her father's family removed to Riga, N. Y., where she lived until iio wnen sne was tnarned to Johnson W. Knight, of Akron, N. Y. Removing to Michigan in 1855, they settled in Ann Ai-bor in 1850. Mrs. Knight was a metnber of the Oongregational church in this city. Her husband and three children survive her, tho bitter being Mr. Earl Knight, of Albion, Mich., Prof. Geo. W. Knight, of Colutnbup, O., and Mrs. Frederick C. Clailc, of Columbug, O.
