According to the Engineer, ships propelled by gas engines are apparntly gaining in favor in Prance. A new boat of this type has recently been put in service for the Havre-ParisRouen line, which is run by gas made on hore and stored on board under a preseure of 850 pounds in a steel holder. The engine is a two-cylinder ne of 40-horse power, and the vessel s 100 feet long and draws 7 feet of wntr.
