A treinendous cloudburst strucU the klahoning vullcy near Youngstown, and Crab créele, a strcara ordinarily 20 eet wide, became a rushing torren t 2,000 íeet in width, flooding the catire valley and eausing grcat damage, both n the city and along the railway liues. Several people are supposed to have been drowned. The entire county cast and west for 20 miles was flooded and the damage will be enormous, the railroads being the heaviest loser Many residenees at Youngstown were flooded the oecupants being taken away by the jolice and fire eiepartments. The MaïoningValleyelectriclines were flooded out and all the bridges washed away. The Catholie church at Niles was struck by lightning and nearly destroyed by jre, while business houses and manufacturing concerns were flooded out. Henry Myers, while standing in front of his residence, was strnck by lightning and killed. Raüroads were forced to completely suspend operations.
